It is, in fact, a list of all posts, sorted by date as the default, so that subscribers will receive everything written into their Feed Reader. Updated posts will not automatically move to the top of the list unless their author forces the issue by resetting the posts timestamp.<\/p>\n<p>2) Click on the <strong>Subscribe to this feed<\/strong> link in the <em>Information Pane<\/em> at the top of the UC page (a <em>Subscribe to this Feed<\/em> window will pop-up).<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"SubscribeRSS1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.amibroker.org\/userkb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/05\/post155001.png\"><\/p>\n<p>3a) Accept the defaults and click on <strong>Subscribe<\/strong> without any further to do.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"SubscribeRSS2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.amibroker.org\/userkb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/05\/post155002.png\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>OR 3b) Put the link into a custom sub-folder&nbsp;by clicking&nbsp;on the <strong>New Folder<\/strong> button, entering a title&nbsp;into the <strong>Folder Name<\/strong> input box&nbsp;and picking <strong>Create<\/strong> (this is recommended for those who are already subscribed to other RSS services).<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"RSS002\" src=\"http:\/\/www.amibroker.org\/userkb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/rss002.png\" border=\"0\"><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s all there is to it!<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"RSS003\" src=\"http:\/\/www.amibroker.org\/userkb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/rss003.png\" border=\"0\"><\/p>\n<p>Click on the <strong>View my feeds link<\/strong> to go straight to <em>Internet Explorer<\/em> with the <em>Favorites Center<\/em> open in<em> Feeds<\/em> mode.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"RSS004\" src=\"http:\/\/www.amibroker.org\/userkb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/rss004.png\" border=\"0\"><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Subscribe to the UKB RSS Feed&nbsp;via Internet Explorer.<\/u><\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>1) Surf to the UKB homepage (the Feeds icon in the IE toolbar will turn orange to indicate that the site is RSS enabled).<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"RSS006\" src=\"http:\/\/www.amibroker.org\/userkb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/rss006.png\" border=\"0\"><\/p>\n<p>2) Click on the down arrow beside the Feeds icon to open a drop-down menu and select RSS 2.0 from the list that is presented (in this case RSS 2.0&nbsp;or Atom 0.3).<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"RSS007\" src=\"http:\/\/www.amibroker.org\/userkb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/rss007.png\" border=\"0\"><\/p>\n<p>3) The <em>Updated Content<\/em> page will open as per instruction two in the example above. From that point on the procedure is exactly the same as before except for the confirmation message at the end (it doesn&#8217;t have a link to the Feed Reader since I.E is already open).<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"RSS008\" src=\"http:\/\/www.amibroker.org\/userkb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/rss008.png\" border=\"0\"><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Subscribing to other AmiBroker provided RSS&nbsp;feeds.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The &#8216;official&#8217; Knowledge Base, the DevLog and the AmiBroker Mailing List are all RSS enabled and they can be subscribed to by using the Internet Explorer method.<\/p>\n<p>Link to the official Knowledge Base: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amibroker.com\/kb\/\">AmiBroker Knowledge Base<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Link to the DevLog: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amibroker.com\/devlog\/\">AmiBroker Development Log<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Link to the AmiBroker Mailing List: <a href=\"http:\/\/finance.groups.yahoo.com\/group\/amibroker\/\">AmiBrokerYahooGroup<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A separate feed for UKB comments can be subscribed to by clicking on the Comments RSS link at the UKB HomePage.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"RSS009\" src=\"http:\/\/www.amibroker.org\/userkb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/rss009.png\" border=\"0\"><\/p>\n<p>Note: The feeds in Internet Explorer are not integrated and each link to an AmiBroker feed stands-alone. The YahooGroup feed is not threaded. It comprises each message posted to the group in chronological order.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<strong><u>BROWSER CAUTION<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This tutorial was written using Internet Explorer 7 and the same outcomes won&#8217;t necessarily be achieved with other I.E. versions or alternative browsers e.g. the author received the following &#8216;advice&#8217; when <em>Entries RSS<\/em> was clicked using&nbsp;a machine with I.E v6 installed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Note: Information on the I.E version in use can be obtained by clicking on the Help &gt;&gt; About menu on the I.E. menu-bar.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" height=\"616\" alt=\"RSSFeeds100\" src=\"http:\/\/www.amibroker.org\/userkb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/09\/rssfeeds100.png\" width=\"744\" border=\"0\"> <\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#ff0000\">TO BE COMPLETED<\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#ff0000\">COPIED FROM &#8216;HOW DO I READ RSS?&#8217;. <\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#ff0000\"><\/font>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For those subscribed, the Users? Knowledge Base Feed will be listed in the Internet Explorer Favorites Center, under Feeds.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"ReadRSS1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.amibroker.org\/userkb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/05\/post118001.png\"><\/p>\n<p>The number of posts saved, the frequency of updates, and other options, can be set from the <strong>Feed Properties<\/strong> window. To open the Properties window, right click on the Users? Knowledge Base link in the Feed list and select <strong>Properties<\/strong> from the context menu that opens, or, click on the <strong>View feed <\/strong><strong>properties<\/strong> link in the browser window RSS page.<\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"ReadRSS2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.amibroker.org\/userkb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/05\/post118002.png\"><\/p>\n<p>If the posts are in a summarised form the text will end with the word (<font color=\"#0000ff\"><u>more&#8230;.)<\/u><\/font> as a link.
